HISTORY
We date the first vestiges of this estate to the year 997 (10th century), then called “Mas Guardiola”. In those years it was owned by Geribert, lord of the Castle of Subirats and his wife Ermengarda, daughter of the count of Barcelona Borrell.
First ancestor born in Mas Bertran
It was not until the 15th century that Mas Guardiola was renamed Mas Bertran, taking the name of the owners of that time.
Josep Arnan, the first direct relative of the current owner Josep Beltran, arrived as a farmer on the Mas Bertran estate in 1840-50.
